Bertram Klamp is born in Germany. After studies of economics he moves to Milan to work as a fashion model, study languages and classical singing.
He joins the chorus of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano as a freelancer and makes his soloist debut at the Scala and the Theater an der Wien in Vienna in the opera Lulu ( role Ein Diener) by Alban Berg in 2010, directed by Daniele Gatti.
Beside appearances in operas by Donizetti, Rossini, Verdi, Saint Saens and Tchaikovsky he performs in Bach’s oratories and in Russian, German, Italian and French chamber music.
As an actor he takes part in TV ads and productions like the Norwegian film The Beatles and an episode of the American series Documentary Now.
He is based in Amsterdam, Budapest, Milan, Nice, Keszthely and Pescara.
